Hi, all...
I'm looking into getting an Alpha based system, but it looks like I won't
have enough cash for that until around the time LW 5.0 ships ( :( ), so
instead I'm looking toward Amiga alternatives. I've heard a bit about the
060 boards coming out, but I want to know if they are A2000 compatible.
For example, I've noticed that no 40 MHz 040s are available for the A2000,
but for the A3000 & A4000. Is this because of the A2000's 16-bit
architecture? I figure that this shouldn't matter much since the G-Force
040 I have now undoubtly outruns the Amiga's motherboard, but has all
speed-reliant stuff on the same card (SCSI-II access, RAM, ect). So if
anyone knows about 060s for A2000s, please drop a line. Intel machines
are NOT something I'd like to think about (maybe a nice PowerPC Amiga...?)
Thanx...
